The Value of A Veteran Is In Their Mindset

Remember when you had to get up in the morning to go to formation? It’s Monday and you have a P.T. test today. You just came off of a crazy weekend. You’re absolutely exhausted after coming off of your 24-hour QC shift less than six hours prior. The alarm clock is going off. Your mindset will carry you through.

You must get out of bed, get dressed, and make it to formation. You make it to formation on time, and you’re now stretching and getting ready for your P.T. test. You’re still exhausted, but your mindset is right. You’re still tired, but you’re focused on the task at hand.

You start your push-up test, and your muscles immediately start to burn. You know you can’t stop because you’re only half way to your goal that you need to pass. You then reach your goal but know that you have more that you can give. Still tired, arms now shaking, legs starting to shake, you complete another push-up, and another, and another. You complete 22 more push-ups than you needed simply to pass according to the average scores. You complete the sit-up test and the run, again excelling well above the average to pass in both tests.

The average person would look at your accomplishment and then ask you “why did you do that? All you had to do was pass.”
Your answer is simple, because you are not average. An average person does not join the ranks of the 1% of the American population that has the guts to serve. You do more because you are worth more, and you know this. You have a higher value than 99% of the American population. Whether you are still serving or not that fire still burns within you.

Every morning that you wake up, you need to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are not average, and you will not settle for an average life. You have earned more, and you deserve more. You need to go back and ask yourself, “am I living the freedom lifestyle that I fought for?”

Well, are you? Are you in charge of your own destiny, or do you have people that you have to answer to every day that are in charge of you? The average person would be okay with that life because they know that they get a paycheck out of it. But here’s the thing: you are not average. And you have what it takes to be successful without having to lower yourself to being average simply to survive.

You have the integrity and the discipline to be able to be your own boss, and live by your own rules so that you can live a life of the true freedoms that you served to preserve.

I have chosen that lifestyle, so I know that it is truly possible. Do you want to know how I did it? I first recognized and realized my value. I know exactly what I am worth. I know what I am worth to myself, my family, and my friends. I know that no matter what obstacles get in my way, that I am going to overcome, and I will succeed. Because after serving in the military, life is actually a lot easier once you understand what you are worth, and what your vision is.

In my next article, I am going to teach you about five legitimate ways to earn an income online. Realize your value, and God bless.
