What Do You Do?

I work with members regarding their investment and retirement accounts. I assist our USAA members with processing various transactions on their accounts, as well as discussing other needs they may have and ways that USAA can provide the best solutions to manage those needs.

How’d You Get Your Job?

I applied via USAA.com, did additional research about the benefits USAA provides and expectations/guidelines about becoming an investment representative. I originally was referred by a friend who started working with the company six months earlier.

Biggest Challenge?

Working in our Investment Unit means discovering those particular needs that our members require assistance with. There are many life events that our military members go through during their careers and it can be overwhelming at times. Our mission is to connect those needs with the appropriate solutions that USAA offers, creating one less burden for the service member to encounter.

Describe A Typical Day.

My schedule starts at 0800 and involves the servicing of inbound calls to our Investment Team. There may be times when you receive a complex call where various units or resources are needed to resolve the issue. The day is structured with allotted time for breaks and lunches, to include additional coaching and feedback sessions.

Coolest Thing About Your Job?

Continuing to serve our military community and ensuring the member and their family are financially secure.

Best Advice:

Be willing to accept challenges and seek additional responsibilities within your work environment.
