If you missed the first season of “Operation Hidden Treasures” last fall, there’s good news. Season 1 will relaunch Sept. 12 on VET-TV (veterantv.com). Featured on the cover of the September 2021 issue of G.I. Jobs, the show follows veterans and their families as they salvage and repurpose unused items into “hidden treasures” for people in need.

“Operation Hidden Treasures” features veteran franchise owners with JDog Junk Removal & Hauling*, a franchise started in 2011 by Army veteran Jerry Flanagan and his wife, Tracy. Available only to veterans and their families, the franchise today boasts more than 100 franchise owners with nearly 300 territories nationwide. The Flanagans have since launched JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care with nearly 20 territories, and JDog Foundation, which raises funds for programs, services and organizations that support veterans.

“I’m extremely proud of our team at JDog and our veteran partners for taking steps toward military veteran business ownership, reducing the unemployment rate for veterans to under 1%, addressing the mental health of our veterans and preventing veteran suicide,” Jerry Flanagan said.

A second season is in the works for “Operation Hidden Treasures,” he said, with a possible run on The History Channel.

Meanwhile, Tracy Flanagan hosts her own podcast titled, “Tactical Treasures.” The podcast shares the stories of veterans and military spouses who have been impacted by a specific item, lesson or recommendation in their life. Guests have included Gen. (Ret.) David Petraeus. Listen at jdogpodcast.com.
