What Were You Hired to Do?
In 2011 I was hired as project manager for Chase Mortgage Banking. In 2012 I moved into JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate and Investment Bank. In July 2013, I was hired for my current role.
How Did You Get Your First Civilian Job?
My first job came from a personal referral to work as an operations manager for Diversant LLC.

What’s the Biggest Challenge?
Adjusting to a different culture. In the business world employees do not participate in “boot camp” in which a unit will march to the same step. As a veteran it is important to understand there will be an adjustment period to integrate into a new organization.
Best Advice for Transitioning Service Members?
• Identify your long-term career goal.
• Find a mentor who can help guide you on the right path.
• Build new “battle buddies” who will hold you accountable for your personal and career goals.
