Why It’s Hot

There are some smoking hot engineering specialties. Petroleum engineering, for example, is expected to add 10,000 jobs by 2022 – a 26 percent increase. Biomedical engineering is expected to grow 27 percent, and civil engineering will increase 20 percent.

What You’ll Need

You’ll definitely need a bachelor’s degree, and probably certification as well, depending on your field of choice.
