Why did you enlist?
I wanted a chance to take advantage of life’s opportunities by serving my country.
Why did you decide to get out?
I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family.
Why did you become interested in owning your own business?
I’ve always entertained the idea of owning my own business. Growing up I watched my parents work for someone else. Being that I was not previously a business owner I figured having the support from a corporate office would be beneficial.
Why Garage Force?
After speaking with the guys at corporate in Wisconsin for a while I knew that it would be my best bet. They guided me through the entire process with ease and made it very streamlined.
How did you finance your franchise?
Garage Force International in Wisconsin really works with you on the financing aspect.
What difficulties did you overcome to become a franchise owner?
The biggest difficulty was to not be scared of taking the leap into it. I believe my military background helped me with this. The Marine Corps taught me to go for things in life head on. Make a decision and stand by it.
Has your military training and experience helped you as a Garage Force franchise owner?
My military training taught me how to prioritize, keep order, maintain composure and work hard in order to achieve the goal at hand.
Is 7-Eleven a good option for post-9/11 veterans?
Yes.
