One of our core values lies in supporting our nation’s veterans; by hiring them, supporting them while they’re employed here, and by giving back to veteran-focused organizations. We are committed to being a top Military Friendly® Company, and we have a tradition of supporting military veterans by providing them with meaningful career opportunities and supporting related causes.

Combined Insurance values veterans’ talents and strengths

Being successful in the armed forces requires self-motivation, discipline, and drive: qualities that also help employees achieve success in the corporate world. We truly value the qualities veterans bring with them to the workplace and we take special pride in helping individuals who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Veteran recruiting program launched in 2010

Since launching our veteran recruiting program in 2010, Combined has been committed to hiring, training, mentoring, and giving back to veterans.

Since then, we’ve:

  • Hired more than 5,200 veterans, military spouses and their family members.
  • Joined the Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership
  • Announced the company will grant any veteran or military spouse a job interview.

And, we are getting noticed for our efforts! Combined Insurance has received numerous accolades throughout the years for our veteran-friendly corporate practices. We were named the #1 Military Friendly® Employer for 2019 and 2020, marking the company’s ninth consecutive year in the top 10 list and sixth consecutive year in the Top 5. We were also named the #1 Military Spouse Friendly Employer® for 2019 – the first time one company held the top spot in both categories. Our Military Program is committed to supporting our nation’s veterans, military spouses and their family members through volunteerism, charitable donations, and recruiting.

Veterans enjoy working at Combined Insurance

Veteran employees, like our Director of Training, Glenn Elmore, often comment that one reason they love working at Combined Insurance is because of the commitment, teamwork and camaraderie they share with their coworkers.

This can especially be true for our agents who work as a team together in the field selling our products, where the organization and structure of agents and managers is similar to the structure of teams in the military. Many veterans have a passion for service, and they joined the armed forces to serve their country. Employees share that they appreciate that Combined offers them the opportunity to once again serve their communities by offering them peace of mind and protection when they need it.

Combined Insurance is seeking veterans to fill a variety of positions, including sales agents, district managers, market directors, administrative and corporate staff positions. Check out our open positions here.
