These are veterans who are highly engaged in social networks and are using their extensive influence to help America’s military, veterans, and their families excel in the civilian sector.

Thank Our Nurses

April Nicol (as she is commonly known on Instagram) is our Influencer of the Month for May! April is an ER registered nurse who is currently helping the fight against COVID-19 during this global pandemic. Thankfully, she is staying healthy and well during her occupation, and had time to tell us a little bit about herself as an influencer in the veteran space!

April is more than just a nurse, but she is a proud mother, patriot, and advocate of the 2nd Amendment which you can see with her Instagram page here! Not only did she go pursue a career as a nurse, but has added educational background in Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice to name a few. Yes… she really does it all.

Experience with the Military

She had the honor and pleasure of being asked to host the US Army’s 2019 Gainey Cup at Fort Benning, were she had her first experience one-on-one with members of active duty during a large military event. There, she spent a week with the US Military and four of its international allies’ top Calvary scouts. This exposure to the military gave her a new level of appreciation for the not only the sacrifice a lot of men and woman give in uniform, but the lifestyle of living in an active duty combat arms environment.

She is proud to support all military, both active and retired, law enforcement, and anyone giving back to help fellow Americans. Her mission is to empower women, educate and promote responsible gun ownership, and live in a way that inspires others. Make sure to listen to the full interview with April below that talks about life as a nurse during the pandemic and her future plans with social media content and working with the army for future events!
