It might be nice if we lived in a world where careers were as simple as mixing equal parts education and hard work, and reaping the predictable and secure career that comes out of it. While there are some high-demand jobs that offer a more predictable career path, for many of us, our varied interests and experiences make the road a bit less clear.
For those of us who crave weird jobs that lie off the beaten path, sometimes it’s the jobs that we’ve never heard of that offer the future we’ve been looking for.
Cross-over careers are the kinds of jobs that take two seemingly unrelated skills and merge them together into something that you might not know exists at all. Sometimes those skills might come from a degree, but they might very well come from military service. The careers most veterans haven’t considered are sometimes the ones that take them the farthest in the end.
