You may wonder what it means to be a Military Friendly® Company. The team at Military Friendly® defines it as total commitment … total commitment to hiring veterans and military spouses, buying from veteran-owned businesses, and supporting the military community. Total commitment to having the right people, programs and policies in place to make all of that happen. It’s a holistic approach to serving those who served.

How to become a Military Friendly® Company

To earn the designation, companies can request to take the Military Friendly Company survey. The Military Friendly® Company designation is an honor that is earned by measuring the organization’s effectiveness in four areas. The organization must score high enough to earn the Military Friendly® designation in three of these four categories:

Military Friendly® Employers, which relates to recruiting, hiring, onboarding and retaining military and veteran employees.

Military Spouse Friendly Employers®, which relates to recruiting, hiring, onboarding and retaining military spouse employees.

Military Friendly® Supplier Diversity, which measures an organization’s commitment to including veteran-owned businesses in its supply chain.

Military Friendly® Brands, which measures a company’s social and material investments in support of the military community, including consumer support and protections.
